Gibson County CEO visited Lyles Station, the only African American community remaining in the State of Indiana.

Stanley Madison, Curator of Lyles Station is a wealth of knowledge. Lyles Station is clearly Stan’s life passion.

We learned the rigor of being a student at Lyles Station , from the 1920s through the 1950s.

Mr. Joseph Lucas was the Principal. Each student learned 16 vocabulary words every day. If you missed one word, you wrote a 500 word essay.
Lyles Station alumni went on to do amazing things in the world!

Thank you, Stan, for teaching us about the past and inspiring us for the future… We appreciate your support of CEO.

Stan talked about the importance of waking up each day with goals, realizing that each day is a gift, not to be wasted.
